You’re in constant pain & are looking to find out if CBD can be a natural, healthier, & more effective alternative to harsh pharmaceuticals. You’ve come to the right place. Today, we’ll explore a few key studies that can clarify just how CBD may be able to help you & how it’s already helped others combat recurring discomfort.
CBD has shown therapeutic potential in helping to combat recurring discomfort. Surveys show improvement in intensity, frequency, & duration. While also showing huge potential in helping people rid their bodies of Opiates & instead finding relief more naturally through CBD. It should definitely be the first line of defense for most.
The first study that we’re taking a look at was performed back in 2019, & still stands as one of the most comprehensive CBD Surveys to date! With 3506 participants out of 58 different countries reporting.
Sources of Discomfort
Out of 200+ reported reasons for using CBD, pain was one of the most popular by far. Over 2000 of the participants listed ‘Pain’ as a reason for taking CBD. Most patients described their condition as ‘chronic’. Meaning they felt near-constant discomfort throughout their bodies!
Sources of the discomfort included:
Often, these patients suffered from other symptoms that were attributed to recurring discomfort. Lack of sleep, & a worse mood were not uncommon.
Just over 90% of patients reported at least ‘some’ level of benefit in all aspects pertaining to the discomfort. 60% described the frequency/duration to be ‘much better’. 70% said the intensity was ‘much better’. While only 23% said they only saw ‘little’ benefit through CBD.
Prior to taking CBD, patients reported an average pain level of 6.85. After starting CBD, the pain levels dropped to an average of 2.76! A 60% decrease in the levels of discomfort.
CBD vs. Opiates
You may be thinking of the alternative, Opiates. These kinds of treatments are highly-addictive, can be lethal, & aren’t actually very effective at offering long-term, consistent relief. In fact, many traditional treatments come with additional, unwanted side effects & place enormous stress on your body. While CBD represents a healthy, natural alternative that can be just as effective, if not more! Our next study reveals this clearly.
This study aimed to examine the relationship between Cannabis usage & age-related discomfort. As we age, our bodies get put through a lot & therefore can ache more and more as we get older. Although this effect is almost inevitable, Cannabis may be instrumental in combatting it.
800 survey participants, mostly aged between 50 – 70, took part in this study. 80%+ reported suffering from chronic/recurring discomfort!
An Unexpected Result
One of the most intriguing results revealed via this survey was the dramatic decrease in the usage of Opioids among all participants. A promising sign for the fight against Opioids.
Over 50% of participants said they had been using both Opioids & Cannabis at some point to mitigate symptoms. After beginning CBD, 91% reported using fewer or no Opiates at all! With 63% dropping Opiates out of their life for good.
That’s an impressive result. Just about 50% of participants reported negative side effects due to the use of Opiates. This included poor sleep, negative impact on wellbeing, mood, energy, & functional ability. Cannabis was the only approach that presented significant benefits with little to no side effects.
Both THC & CBD were being used by patients in this study at varying ratios & dosages. Across the board, both CBD & THC were found to have the same level of efficacy!
What We’re They Using?
Your next question is probably, “Well, what exactly are they using?” Although delivery methods varied here are the details from both studies.
Study #1 (Cultivating Wellness): The most popular delivery methods we’re as follows (in order): Oil Tinctures, Topicals, Vapes, Pills, Edibles, Flower, & other.
Study #2 (Cannabis & Age-Related Pain): 50% of patients reported vaporizing as their method of administration. This is likely due to the quick onset & high bioavailability that come with vaporizing cannabinoids. The remaining 50% preferred sprays, edibles, capsules, or other.
We’ve shown you two major studies that clearly represent a therapeutic potential for CBD when it comes to chronic discomfort. Many of us suffer from it, especially as we get older. So, it’s something we likely will all have to face at some point!
The important thing is seeking natural, healthier alternatives. Avoid popping any sort of pill or relying on Opiates for relief. They will only come with more issues & possibly develop a habit, all while remaining lethal at high doses.
CBD, on the other hand, should be your first line of defense. These sorts of remedies are much more sustainable & easier on your body. While still offering as great, if not better, benefits when it comes to finding relief!
