You’re looking for quick, natural relief by vaporizing CBD but you don’t know how to vape CBD Oil! I’m here today to help you get started & understand what you’ll need to vape CBD Oil.
Regular CBD Oil Tinctures aren’t made for vaping. Look for CBD Vapor Cartridges/Extracts that are specifically made for vaporizing. When vaporizing, take a 3 – 5 second draw & concentrate on inhaling the vapor fully into your lungs. Exhale in a smooth, steady breathe. Allow 5-10 minutes to then decide if you’d like more!
Not All CBD Oil Is Equal
Before you start filling an empty cartridge with your CBD Oil Tincture, think twice! Typically, CBD Oils aren’t made for vaporization, but rather for sublingual (underneath the tongue) delivery.
Be sure that the CBD Oil is specifically made to be vaporized. Usually, these come in the form of a disposable cartridge filled with CBD extract. Although you can also get CBD vape ‘juices, & extract that can be put into a refillable cartridge.
We also urge you to be careful when you choose who you’re buying from. Vaporizing is a newer delivery method & if you’re inhaling harmful/unnecessary chemicals, it can lead to negative consequences. But, you certainly can find healthy, safe CBD Vapor cartridges that don’t contain artificial & potentially harmful ingredients! Read more on that here.
What You Need
So, are you wondering what exactly you’re going to need to start vaporizing CBD & getting all the amazing benefits by breathing?! Here’s A list of everything you’ll need:
– CBD Vapor Cartridge (Filled)
– Vaporizer Battery
That’s about it! You really don’t need much to get started. But, let’s go over some tips on what to look for when you’re choosing each item.
Cartridges: Avoid artificial/unnecessary ingredients. Look for full 3rd-party lab tests. You’re looking for a cartridge that contains whole plant Hemp extract & terpenes from the same plant. No need for artificial flavorings. Should be a “510” threaded connection, to fit most batteries. Read More Here.
Battery: Typically a 510 threaded connection. Can be either disposable or rechargeable. We prefer rechargeable. Look for a power output of 2.4v or more. Most cartridges don’t need too much power, & in fact, an overpowered battery can lead to burnt, unpleasant hits. Look for a single, low voltage battery. Or opt for a variable voltage battery, that allows you to set the power output based on your liking!
Setting Up Your Vapor Cartridge
CBD Vapor Cartridges are typically very easy to get set up! First, make sure your battery has at least somewhat of a charge. If it’s low on power it may also deliver weaker draws. So, try charging up first.
Your vaporizer cartridge should have come with a threaded ‘male’ 510 connection. While the battery has a threaded ‘female’ 510 connection. Could you guess what the next step is?
Connect the cartridge & battery together by screwing your cartridge into the threads on the battery. They should fit together just fine without any resistance. Screw the cartridge in until you feel it tighten securely to the battery. Be careful not to overtighten as the contact points can be fragile! Now, you’re ready to vape.
Inhaling / Exhaling Technique
When seeking the most optimal results from vaping/inhaling CBD there are a few tips you should consider. These will help you take full advantage of your vaporized CBD!
When inhaling, you shouldn’t have to draw too hard. Imagine drinking out of a straw; you smoothly & consistently ‘suck-in’ so there’s a consistent, steady stream of soda. It’s the same idea, just with vapor! Concentrate on making sure the vapor reaches your lungs properly by further inhaling the vapor after you take your lips off the vaporizer.
After a few seconds, exhale the vapor slowly in the same smooth manner. If you feel the need to cough, try to hold it until after you’ve exhaled all the vapor. This will hopefully save you from forcing yourself to cough even harder.
Enjoy & Experiment
Effects from inhaled CBD should be very quick. Nearly instantly, you can begin to feel the effect settle in. They will further set in over 5 – 10+ minutes so we advise letting it start to take effect & deciding if you’d like more or if you’re feeling just fine at that level!
Otherwise, feel free to experiment with increasing/decreasing dosage/frequency. Dosing with CBD isn’t as straight line as typical alternatives. So, you may notice that different amounts offer varying levels of benefit. Sometimes less is more & sometimes you need to double or triple your dosage!
You’re optimally looking for your “sweet spot.” This is where you receive the benefit you’re looking for, without feeling tired. Unless of course, that is what you want to feel. Typically though, people are using CBD Vapes throughout the day to stay calm & collected.
