CBD has recently become one of the biggest trends & natural alternatives. But, I keep hearing about CBD Flower & am not sure what to think. So, I set out on a journey to understand what CBD Flower is & how it could help!
CBD Flower AKA Hemp Flower is the raw, unbothered form of what all CBD products are derived from. It is the natural “flower” or “buds” that are produced by the Hemp / Cannabis plant. Typically it’s consumed by smoking or vaporization. But, you can also make your own CBD oils, edibles, & more with Flower! It also results in a much quicker, & more bioavailable way to take CBD.
What is “Flower”?“
CBD Flower” is the origin of all other CBD products. Including oils, topicals, capsules, gummies, & everything else! This is exactly what is used to produce the top-notch CBD you know & love. “Flower” simply refers to the buds or ‘fruits’ of the Hemp plant which are then used to either enjoy raw (smoking, vaping flower) or to then be processed into an oil or other form.
If you enjoy CBD products already, you do enjoy CBD flower. You just haven’t tried it in its raw form. This is a great way to enjoy CBD & is the preference for many as it can result in better overall effects for your needs.
How Do You Enjoy It?
Typically, flower is consumed by a method of inhalation. Smoking is usually easiest as the flower can simply be enjoyed right out of the packaging with no extra steps necessary. Vaporizers are a great option for those who don’t enjoy smoking &/or want a healthier way to consume CBD. Vaporizers enable you to “vaporize” your flower without introducing a flame or combustion!
Vaporizing flower makes for a healthier way to enjoy it as you aren’t getting any carcinogens as you may with smoke. Vaporizers involve no flame & therefore is made of pure Cannabinoid-goodness without any tar or other compounds from smoking. It will also make your flower taste better, last longer, & make the effects more pronounced!
You can also craft your very own CBD concoctions. Such as edibles, oil, topicals, or anything your mind can come up with! CBD Flower can be used as a base to create homemade CBD remedies, which some people really enjoy. It sure sounds like a fun project.
Is it Legal?
As of the passing of the 2018 U.S. Farm Bill, Hemp that tests under .3% THC is federally legal. Meaning that you cannot & will not be federally charged or convicted for having, selling, or enjoying CBD flower! This is the great part about choosing CBD.
This being said it’s important to check State/Local laws regarding CBD. As states can have their own regulations on CBD, even though federally it is legalized. We do advise using discretion in terms of where you enjoy your flower! Some might mistake it for Marijuana (including law enforcement). Now, as we said it is federally legal & at the end of the day, you will not be facing federal offenses. But, no one wants the trouble of trying to wholeheartedly convince a police officer that you aren’t smoking that “good good”.
So, we try to be smart about where we enjoy. It’s a good idea to keep the original packaging on hand in case this situation arises! All of our flower is lab tested, with a QR code printed on each item that brings up the lab report.
What Will I Feel? Is It Like Weed?
CBD Flower offers all of the many benefits you know & love. From offering mental calmness & clarity to helping your body feel better & in less discomfort. The effects of CBD all apply here. In fact, they can be more pronounced with CBD Flower.
Keep in mind that the effects of CBD Flower will always be quicker & more potent per mg. This is because you are introducing it through your lungs, which almost immediately transmits the CBD into your bloodstream. It also allows for most of the CBD to successfully make it into your system. While methods such as oil or gummies cause more breakdown & loss of CBD to your system.
Effects will not be keen to that of Marijuana. Although, you may receive the same sensations of relaxation, euphoria, relief & much more there are certainly big differences between the two. THC results in intoxication, the munchies, the giggles & much more. Although it can be fun, THC can also result in negative results such as paranoia, anxiety, & making negative thoughts even more intense.
This is not always the case but it is certainly not uncommon for people to have bad experiences with THC. For many people, you would be much better off with CBD-dominant flower. CBD works to counteract the negative effects of THC, such as paranoia or anxiety. So, you are not going to have anywhere near the same experience. It should be much more calming, relaxing, & therapeutic instead of being intoxication & disorienting.
Does it Smell/Look like “Weed”?
Yes, CBD/Hemp Flower should look, smell, & taste just like THC-rich Cannabis. Hemp is also a Cannabis plant so it’s important to know that it does share many of the same properties as Marijuana in terms of look, smell, & taste.
Many times this means that CBD Flower is better enjoyed outside where the smoke will not accumulate. Although, the choice is yours! It will be smoky & will launch an aroma of quality Cannabis into the air.
